The middle way.

Tuesday 11 April, 2017

Last weekend, ended with a full-time retreat with Rama, in which the players studied in detail what makes up the Spectrum of Consciousness and what it means to disagree with what you are not.

Players bravely went to another attack of self-exploration of their own shadow sides.

As you know, each of us has shadow qualities, and not looking, for example, at what we think we are:

  • Honest, but we periodically lie and deceive, and also steal or take someone else's
  • Generous, but we also show greed and greed
  • Strong, but often we are weak and helpless ...

Players for three days carefully examined their shadow sides of the psyche, helping each other to discover those qualities that they do not want to see in themselves and push into the unconscious, demonstrating to the world the opposite qualities acceptable to their Ego.

Such a split in the psyche is the deepest wrong identification, when a person identifies himself only with the selective quality of the opposite pair of qualities of the psyche:
  • He is only good and can not be bad,
  • He is only strong and can not be weak,
  • He is only honest and can not be a liar,
  • He is only clever and in no way can be stupid, etc.

After discovering such cleavages of the psyche, players combined conflicts and combined pairs of opposing qualities into a single whole, which was accompanied by a splash of a huge amount of energy and many players, because of the excess of newly released energy, practically did not sleep.

Combining the research itself with tools such as:
  • Dynamic group,
  • Dance therapy
  • Immersion in the topic of the current film
  • morning work-out
  • As well as meditation

As a whole brought a magical effect of a profound transformation of all the participants of the retreat.

From this seminar the players left on an extraordinary rise with a clear realization that they would not be able to resist Life as before;

Only the acceptance of rejected feelings and their combination with opposing qualities gives a holistic vision of life and knowledge of the middle.

 Parable "The Middle Way"

Shravan lived in a luxurious palace. He loved luxury and beautiful things. He constantly rebuilt his capital and gradually turned it into one of the most beautiful cities. However, he was all bored and, after hearing that in the city

Went Buddha, he went to him and was so fascinated that he immediately asked to be ordained as a disciple. Buddha hesitated and reluctantly dedicated it. The whole kingdom was overwhelmed. People could not believe it, no one could even imagine it, because Shravan was an extremely mundane person, indulging in any of his desires, even the most extreme. His usual occupations were wine and women. Those who came with him did not understand anything. It was so unexpected. And they asked the Buddha:

What happened? This is a miracle! Shravan is not that type of person and, besides, he lived so luxuriously. Until now, we could not even imagine that Shravan could be a sannyasin. So what happened? Have you done anything?

The Buddha said:

- I did not do anything. The mind can easily move from one extreme to the other. This is the usual way of the mind. So Shravan does not do anything new. This could be expected. You are so amazed, because you do not know the laws that govern the actions of the mind. A man who went crazy, wanting wealth, is now going crazy, refusing wealth, but the madness remains - and that's the whole mind. Shravan became a mendicant monk and soon other disciples of the Buddha began to observe that he was moving to the other extreme. Buddha never asked to walk naked disciples, and Shravan stopped dressing. He was the only student who went naked and was engaged in self-torture. The Buddha allowed one sannyasin one meal a day, but Shravan ate once every other day. He became completely exhausted. While other students meditated under the trees in the shade, he remained under the scorching sun. Previously, he was a handsome man, he had a beautiful body, but six months later no one could recognize him.

One evening, the Buddha approached him and said:

"Sravan, I heard that when you were a prince,

Even before the dedication, you loved to play the wine and the sitar and was a good musician. So I came to ask you one question. What happens if the guilt strings weaken?

Shravan replied:

- If the strings are weakened, then no music will come out.

Then the Buddha asked:

- And if the strings are tight, what will happen? Shravan replied:

"Then it's impossible to extract music either." The tension of the strings should be medium - not weakened, and not stretched, but exactly in the middle. It's easy to play the fault, but only the master can correctly adjust the strings, you need a golden mean.

And the Buddha said:

"That's what I wanted to say after watching you for six months." In life, music sounds only when the strings are not weakened and not overtaken, but just in the middle. So, Shravan, be a Master and know that the excessive tension of strength turns into excess, and excessive relaxation into weakness. Bring your strength into balance and try to balance your spiritual possibilities, and may this be your goal!

Ha-Ha! Playing!

Yahuu!
